Christmas is here, and o’boy do I love Christmas!!🤩 I just finished 9 wonderful shows guesting “Svartnissen” at Sola kulturhus in Norway through December - “Svartnissen” means something like “Black Santa”, and is originally a family Christmas show about how “Black Santa” steals Christmas. This year, I was guesting the grown-up show kind of like when ‘Elton John guested the Muppet Show’ - and it was such a wonderful learning experience getting to work with professional actors all through December. All the shows were completely sold out, and for the final show, my husband showed up, no less, and Santa’s helpers soon wrote him into the script to participate in the show himself. It was epic!😂 And I have never experienced such a response from the audience ever as they discovered to their great surprise that Lars Monsen was suddenly a part of the show.
This was the best way to lead up to Christmas with my family, and in only a few minutes, Christmas is here.
My plan is to eat way too much Christmas goodies, do a kick bike run with my dog, Chanti, watch all the Christmas movies on TV, and do the finishing touches on our Christmas dinner before joining my family for the celebrations.
I know I’m blessed beyond imagination, and I am grateful for that. All the thoughts and prayers in the world will never help those in need, only acts of kindness and generosity will. I also know that one can not do it all, but we all can do a lot to make a change. The need for help is always there, not only around Christmas. So, to the best of my ability, I support a few chosen relief organisations all year around, and sometimes a little extra for Christmas. I hope the help reaches families in need, and that it can make a positive change in their lives.
On that note, I want to wish you all a very merry Christmas where ever you are celebrating the Holidays, and I am much looking forward to next year’s many, many events coming up!
