Dear followers,
I hope you have all had a wonderful start in the new year. Clean slight and all that. In my experience, January oftentimes feels like a stressful time, but it’s also a time for afterthought. Time flies! And yet, at the same time, when there’s so much to look forward to, suddenly the days seem long. I can’t decide. Anyway - for the new year, I have lots of plans, some of which aren’t even my own! I’ll get back to that later, but for now, I will share my own plans with you here.
First up, I’m working on finishing my upcoming new album, ‘Trine Rein Unplugged’. Last November, I did release a new single from this album, and can you believe it - I totally forgot to mention about it here!🙈 How is that even possible? I must be getting old!😵💫 I’ll leave you a link to it here so you can check it out. I’m quite happy with it, actually! It’s called ‘When it Comes to Life’. And it’s about… well, life.
The album is set for release sometime towards the end of February, or maybe mid-March. It depends on when I can get it finished. My awesome producer and co-writer, Johannes Groth, is working long days hoping to get it done as soon as possible. I’m excited! I’ll tell you more about it soon!😉
Once the album is out, it’s time to start touring again🎶 I will be visiting various venues in Norway with my guitar player, Olve Flakne, to play songs from the new album along with many of the other songs I love to sing. I’m glad to be able to perform live, acoustically and intimately in light of all the digital AI-driven media we have to relate to these days. Nothing beats the real thing with heart, soul and human integrity, if you ask me. Click here for an overview - this will be updated as we go along:
Speaking of which, I have finally decided to open a door I have kept shut for all my years as an artist: I am going to offer to sing at funerals.
Yes, I find it to be the right time to do this now. I think I have the proper amount life experience needed to be able to perform profoundly at such occasions. And besides, I think it has never been more important to front real live music for real life experiences than now. Whether you are getting married or in a situation where you have to say goodbye to a loved one, these vulnerable moments disurve an authentic human touch and musical frame around the ceremony.
I have added a new link in my meny called
SPECIAL OCCASIONS (Norwegian only)
where you can find more information via my new profile.
There is so much more to tell about my upcoming events for 2026, but I will have to get back to this soon. Stay tuned!
Much love,
Trine🥰
