It’s here - the music video for ‘Mother’ releases Friday, Sept. 4 at noon on my YouTube channel!
'Mother' refers to 'Mother Earth', and the song is one of my strongest to date. The topic is about how we treat our only Mother Earth against better knowledge, and how we egotistically are stealing our children's future.
I really had to cross some of my hardest personal boundaries in creating this video, cigarette smoking being one of them. I also spent an entire day trying to create fake blood in order to make it look like I had killed my treasured dog, Joy, to use her fur in vain. That scene is my worst nightmare, and shooting it felt very uncomfortable.
My hope is that the song, the lyrics and the video will have an impact on how we think and act towards our only planet and home. I believe that if we treat each other with respect and love, including the environment, the animals and all people, the world will be a better place. Below are the lyrics.
