New single out now: JOY!😆
I’m so happy to announce my new single, JOY, is available now! I truly believe this is the type of song we earthlings are in the need of these days. Trying to cope with all the pandemic restrictions keeping us at a social distance from our loved ones, we need to focus on all the positive elements and values of our lives.

JOY gives you the opportunity to find enjoyment just in the fact that we are alive, and that every day counts. The theme I have chosen for this particular song is colorful butterflies and the beautiful flowers in spring during the Norwegian spring and summertime. A lyric music video is also in the pipeline…
The song is written by David Thulin, Rhyan Shirley and myself, and it is produced by David Thulin in Nashville earlier this year. JOY is the second single from the Nashville sessions, and I hope it can bring you all the JOY you need!
Here is a link to where you can listen - feel free to add it to your favorite playlist, too!

OMGosh - I’m gonna be FIFTY!!!😱 This happens on the exact same day of my husband, Lars Monsen’s, and my 5th wedding anniversary, so I guess it’s a day to celebrate! Join me for my final show concert while I’m still 40-something… The opening show is on Friday, Nov 6 at the legendary venue, Chat Noir in Oslo.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the amount of tickets available right now are very limited, so first come, first serve.
Some of my loyal followers have commented that the title does not fit me. Well…. my response to that will be in the show, so see you there!😉

This is a completely #diy type video, my third one so far. I filmed it at home using my iPhone and a small Sony camera which my husband generously gave me as a gift several years ago. Little did I know how much use I would get for it down the line.
The video shows me setting the table for two, preparing for the arrival of my new flame. Meanwhile, I am singing about the emotions around this date I am expecting. As it turns out, this flame is now my husband of almost 5 years, and at the end of the video he romantically covers my hand with his. If you wonder about the words in this song - it is a rather quick sung lyric - this video is for you.
Make sure you subscribe to my YouTube channel while you’re in there, and if you like my videos, feel free to leave me a comment, or a like👍🏼 if you wish. Looking forward to showing you this - please enjoy!
A limited audience is welcome!
OMGosh! I’m so happy to announce that due to the authorities easing up on the corona restrictions, as per May 7, we are allowed to gather up to 50 people for events as long as they maintain a social distancing of 1 meter. What does that mean? I can invite an exclusive audience of 40 for my upcoming release concert!🤩
OMGosh! I’m so happy to announce that due to the authorities easing up on the corona restrictions, as per May 7, we are allowed to gather up to 50 people for events as long as they maintain a social distancing of 1 meter. What does that mean? I can invite an exclusive audience of 40 for my upcoming release concert on May 15!🤩
The announced streaming concert for the release of my upcoming single, ‘You Make Me Oooo’ is now upgraded to being both a streaming- and a live concert, and I get to have an actual audience for the first time in weeks!
Because of the space limitations and strict regulations, I need to sell these very exclusive tickets in pairs of two in order to maintain the social distancing. This way, I can fit up to 40 people at the venue (we are 10 people in the production team). The concert venue is very close to home. It will be at my husband, Lars Monsen’s Wilderness Centre at Liverud ranch in Skiptvet, Norway. It is a small, permanent stage built into a large tent, and the tickets come in two varieties:
VIP tickets: Couch seating, first row - max capacity: 10 people
Standard tickets: Bench seating with tables, 2-5 row - max capacity: 30 people
NOTE: All tickets will be sold in pairs of two in order to maintain the social distancing restrictions of minimum 1 meter.
Tickets are on sale now, and if you hurry you may purchase them at EarlyBird prices up until May 5 (or until sold out).
No alcoholic beverages allowed, but tickets include coffee from Lars Monsen’s legendary campfire kettle. The audience will also get a preview of my brand new music video to be officially released one week after this concert.
Please click the ticket link to get to the ticket sales, and follow the instructions. If you are having trouble with the language, please change the language flag to your preference in the upper right corner of the TicketCo website.

I am so excited about playing before a live audience again, and I can’t wait to see you!🥰

Streaming concert success!🥳
First of all, a big THANK YOU for following, commenting and supporting me on my first ever streaming concert from home! On Monday, April 6, I had a streaming concert seen by 46k, reaching 83k, shared 65 times, and commented by more than 500 followers on Facebook…
First of all, a big THANK YOU for following, commenting and supporting me on my first ever streaming concert from home! On Monday, April 6, I had a streaming concert seen by 46k, reaching 83k, shared 65 times, and commented by more than 500 followers on Facebook…
Needless to say, the streaming concert concept is here to stay, and more and more artists and bands are embracing this way of reaching out to their audience during the Covid-19 pandemic. Although the streaming concerts open for new possibilities across the world, there is still a need for global platforms to fire these concerts off in a sensible and economic way for everyone involved. One payment method will not work in every country, and then there is the time difference…
I really tried to consider everyone when timing the start of my concert, but it is impossible to find a time when everyone is up, and not to mention, ready to view an online concert. In spite of these challenges, I could greet people from literally all over the world during my concert. I had people from Japan, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Australia and Thailand on one side of the world, and people from several states in the USA as well as from many different countries in the EU, some were watching from Africa, and many, many from Norway were watching my concert at the same time. What a BLESSING!!! Thank you again!
With that said, I promise you it won’t be long before my next streaming concert from home. Right now, I’m working on finding a platform that will serve as many countries as possible. I will announce it here, and on my Social Media platforms as soon as I have everything set up (make sure to follow me on those).
Even if we have found this way of having live concerts, I must say I miss you guys a lot. Can’t wait for all the bans and restrictions to lift when we are safe from the dreaded Corona virus, but until then: I hope you are well, and that you will continue to follow me online.
Stay healthy, and take care of each other. We can do this!🙏🏼😊
Best,
Trine 💖

Moving right along...
So “Merry Christmas” and “Happy New Year” is history a long time ago, and 2020 is already picking up speed to reveal it’s adventures.
So “Merry Christmas” and “Happy New Year” is history a long time ago, and 2020 is already picking up speed to reveal it’s adventures. So far this year, I have only had one live concert with my awesome band, but it doesn’t mean I have been on the lazy side (as much as I have been longing for a vacation!). 😄January and February usually begins with a bang catching up on all the plans we should have made last year. Feels like I’m always playing ‘catch up’, but there is no other way (that I’m aware of) to get things done any more efficient than I already do.
January is the time for setting the next Christmas tour, Julegaven (the Christmas Gift), finding the perfect content and getting in touch with all the right people to contribute to a wonderful, new Christmas concert. I guess you get a bit nuts from working with Christmas tours, contemplating various Christmas carols in the middle of summer.
But Christmas aside, - I have other big plans for the year to come. Some of them remain unveiled until the right moment, but I can tell you this much: I’m finally going to visit Nashville, Tennessee!! Whoot, whoot!!! I’ve always wanted to go there to get a feel for the bubbly music business in that famous city, and lo and behold, I finally get the chance this year. I’m so excited about that trip. I’m going to work with some of the most achieved writers and producers in the business, getting a small taste of their genious as they visited Norway last November. So - stay tuned, and I will keep you posted for upcoming adventures. Be sure to subscribe to my Songkick account, and never miss out on a concert near you.
Happy days!☀️
Trine 😊🎶
Happy New Year!🎉
The teens of the 21st century is behind us, and a new decade has begun. How are we doing? Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m rolling into my first half century later on this year. It doesn’t quite mean I’m pulling my oars in yet, on the contrary, I’ve got a lot of exiting plans for this year. But before I let you in on everything I’ve got in store, I wanted to tell you about my other store - the webshop. It’s been ten years since I started my own record label, now called Joy Music. We’re going into a new decade, and for January, I’m putting on a 10% off sale on all my albums since 2010.
You’ll find albums like Seeds of Joy, a very few copies of my original Christmas album, Julegaven, and both the CD and the vinyl version of my latest album, The Well. Your option to chose signed copies for some of the items at an additional price.
So, that’s my symbolic 10 years, new decade, 10% new year offer for January. Feel free to visit my webshop here: TRINE REIN STORE
As far as new year resolutions, I have one - actually a copy and paste of last year’s new year resolution: See more of my family and friends in the year to come. Keep the faith, and enjoy the ride!
Happy new year!🥳

New music video premiere alert for Live & Forgive!
Don’t miss the music video premiere for Trine Rein’s Live & Forgive on May 31 at 6pm (GMT +2)
On May 24, Trine Rein releases her second single of the year, Live & Forgive! On May 31 it is time for the video release, and the video will be a live premiere on Facebook and YouTube simultaneously at 6pm (GMT +2). You will be able to comment and ask questions as well as being the first to see this brand new music video from Trine Rein.
The video is recorded in Norway and in the South of France this springtime. Trine’s helpers this time are her husband, Lars Monsen (chauffeur and photographer), her brother-in-law, Jan Monsen (drone shots and some steady cam shots), and her dear mother (beach shots, missing-the-bus shots) who joined her in the South of France towards the end of the recording and editing process. The aquarelle on the cover is from the forthcoming video, and it is donated by artist Per Vie. Graphics by Øistein Madsen.
Other than that, Trine rose to new highs in the #DIY concept, and created everything herself. All other shots are by Trine Rein as well as drawing, lyrics writing, styling, make up, script, producing, editing and finalizing the video.
The song is about forgiving and letting go. You can always start with a clean slate in life by letting go of old grudges. Live & Forgive is a song about burying hard feelings, and to start again. A good 'springtime song' where everything is made new☀️
Live & Forgive is available on all streaming services on May 24, and you can find your favorite access point here: Live & Forgive

Where do we go
(Bernt Rune Stray, Aleksander With, Lisa Miskovsky, Berent Phillip Moe, Trine Rein)
Counting the numbers Picking up pieces Putting the boxes into place
Taking down pictures Scratching the marks out Of the places we made out of grace
Tell me now where do we go from here//:
So where’re you going Gotta know you’re gonna be okay If nothing is what you need Tell me all of this time Did you know did you feel that it was beautiful Some things are hard to reveal All I want is that you Know that it’s true
Saw you the last time Felt like the first time and the rain was pouring your name Cleaning the streets while making me see how all the stones are reflecting the same
Tell me now where do we go from here//:
So where’re you going Gotta know you’re gonna be okay If nothing is what you need Tell me all of this time Did you know did you feel that it was beautiful Some things are hard to reveal All I want is that you Know that it’s true
You don’t need a hand to hold It’s getting dark and cold Just make the moment last before it’s gone A flick of light will be all that you will see I’m making steps for you to climb again
climb again
So where’re you going Gotta know you’re gonna be okay If nothing is what you need Tell me all of this time Did you know did you feel that it was beautiful Some things are hard to reveal
So where’re you going Gotta know you’re gonna be okay If nothing is what you need Tell me all of this time Did you know did you feel that it was beautiful Some things are hard to reveal All I want is that you Know that it’s true

So far, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with a viewer's record on opening day! 2019 - here we go!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! January 2019 is here, untouched like a field of fresh snow. Each and every one of us has a clean slight to paint with all the colors we wish to include in our lives. What an opportunity!
Last year, I participated in recording a new TV show, 'Hver gang vi møtes' (Whenever we meet) for Norwegian TV to be broadcast Jan./Feb. 2019. This will be the kick off for my 25th anniversary as an international artist (time flies!).
For the occasion, I have been working in the studio preparing a few new tracks to be released very soon. One of my new singles is actually a duet with one of Norway's greatest male voices - and who he is will remain a secret a little while longer. Stay tuned!
2019 will entail a lot of concert activities both with my full band as well as my acoustic setting. I like to juggle the two musical extremities to keep myself focused on my performances, and not become too settled in one setting.
My Christmas tour, Julegaven (The Christmas Gift), is in the pipeline, and this year, I want to create something really amazing for you to experience in light of my 25th anniversary. Again, stay tuned for more updates.
I want to take the opportunity to thank you all for following me, and for supporting me in my concerts through 2018 and all the years before. My audience is my reason for singing and making music, and without you, there would be no artist-me.
Wishing you all the best for the new year. May you be healthy, happy and blessed beyond your dreams. Make wise and loving choices for your health, the climate and for each other. Make sure to hit me up if I visit your hometown with a concert during any of the next 365 days!
See you soon, and happy new year!
With Love,
Trine
New Christmas LIVE album!
Surprise! This month, I am releasing a new Christmas LIVE album! Last year, we recorded our Christmas concert, Julegaven (the Christmas gift), with guest artist Eli Kristin Hanssveen, and my great band Olav Torgeir Kopsland on strings and Sjur Husom Vonen on stings and keys. The concert was recorded in Jessehim church, and one of the songs was recorded in Østenstad church. Now, these recordings have been made into a brand, new and exclusive CD, only available for purchase at our Christmas concerts.
Yes, that's right, you will not be able to find these tracks online in any of the streaming platforms at this point, it will be exclusively available to buy if you show up at one of our Christmas concerts.
Tickets for Julegaven are available here: JULEGAVEN
Welcome to my Christmas concert Julegaven with my wonderful guest artist Eli Kristin Hanssveen!
Christmas in only 16 weeks!
No kidding! In only 16 weeks, we are celebrating Christmas around the world, and in only three months, I begin my annual Christmas tour, Julegaven (the Christmas Gift) around Norway. This means you can already secure your tickets now at Ticketmaster. This year, I have re-invited my amazing guest artist, Eli Kristin Hanssveen along for the ride. We had such a wonderful time working together last year that I couldn't picture another tour without her beautiful voice and friendship this year. Eli is one of the very rare singers who can sing both classical opera as well as secular music. She can do anything with her voice, and I am quite impressed. You will be, too!
My musicians are so talented - I am bringing Olav Torgeir Kopsland as always on guitars and pedal steel, and David Aleksander Sjølie on guitars and keyboards - and more! We are excited, and hope to see you in one of the churches we visit along the way. You can find your tickets here:
Welcome to the most heartwarming Christmas concert of the year - Julegaven!
Fall season coming up in new colors!
August - it's still considered a summer month, but as the temperatures have gone down by about 50% since July, it certainly feels like fall is just around the corner. Vacationers are returning, back to school-ads are beginning to dominate the web, and slowly, but surely, I'm reintroducing long sleeve shirts into my wardrobe again. It's ok, summer has been amazing here in Norway, as long as you are not a farmer! This summer, I have been juggling two different concepts of concerts - one with my full band doing larger arenas and festivals, and one with my new guitar- and keyboard player, Aleksander Sjoelie in smaller venues and more intimate clubs. I love to do both, and no, I can't choose which one I prefer. I still have a few upcoming concerts this fall before diving into Christmas concert mode in November. Check out my 'Events' calendar to keep yourself posted. You still have a chance to catch both of my concert concepts this year - the acoustic one, and the full band one.
I have also participated in recording a new TV show called "Whenever we meet" (Hver gang vi møtes) to be broadcast early 2019. I can't reveal much about it at this point other than the fact that we truly went through the motions on that one!
Next week, I'm going into the studio to begin creating new material for next year. It's kinda my "back to school"-move this season. I'm anxious to get started as I already have a few ideas to roll, and I'm looking forward to see where creativity takes me this time. Going in with an open mind - there are only two kinds of music, anyway - the good kind, and the bad kind. I'm shooting to end up with the good kind!
See you soon!
Trine
Summertime, oh so nice!
I love this time of year - summertime! Midnight sun, so much light and warm weather (yes, even here in Norway!). Where I live, it has actually been extremely hot and dry so far this year, to the point where it is actually becoming a problem for our water supply and our farmers. Imagine that - in Norway! One of the great things about summer are all the wonderful concert venues to play at - both in-doors, and out-doors. This summer, I'm planning to visit quite extensive parts of Norway, and I hope to see you at one of my concerts. I have also created a brand new, acoustic concept bringing only one musician along for some of the concerts - introducing Aleksander Sjølie! I'm looking to throw more intimate concerts and get closer to my audience before changing gears and getting into my annual Christmas tour again. Gee, that seems so far away right now in about 25 degrees celcius, but really - Christmas is only less than 6 months away already!
Check out my tour list here: Trine Rein on tour July-December 2018
Until we see each other again - enjoy you summer, and your vacation if you are lucky to be on one!
Hugs,
Trine
