Tickets to "The Christmas Gift"-tour available now!

As we still have snow in major parts of Norway, and it is, in fact, still snowing from time to time, we are taking the opportunity to launch this year's upcoming Christmas tour - JULEGAVEN - (the Christmas Gift)! Trine Rein is celebrating the fifth anniversary of her own JULEGAVEN Christmas tour, and this year, she is proud to introduce fantastic opera singer, Eli Kristin Hanssveen, to join the team! Eli Kristin is an extremely versatile singer who manages to perform opera as well as secular pop and rock music - a very rare combination, and in some musical environments, downright unheard of!

The two artists will perform a variety of classical as well as contemporary Christmas music to get you in the right Christmas spirit. The concert will potentially move you and make you happy, and you will receive a gift for the heart and the soul on your continued life journey.

This year's musicians are the wonderful Olav Torgeir Kopsland on strings - to keep the traditions alive - and the new kid in town, multi instrumentalist Sjur Husom Vonen on keyboards and guitars.

We are happy to announce that this year, JULEGAVEN will be supporting the hard working charity organization, Mission Aviation Fellowship - MAF Norway.

TOUR BEGINS ON NOVEMBER 28, 2017.

VELKOMMEN TIL EN FANTASTISK KONSERTAFTEN!

The Well - album available now!

My brand new album, The Well, is finally out! I am so excited about this album! I've been chipping away at it for the last two years together with my buddy, Tony Carey, a collaboration which began with a phone call to my other buddy, Ronni le Tekrø. This is one of those "The Lord works in mysterious ways"-kinda experiences, because how on earth did I end up collaborating with rock legend Tony Carey in the first place? To make a long story short, Ronni insisted I contacted Tony, and now - two years later, we are releasing a whole new album, we're going on tour together, and we're feeling high on life! The album is available on CD and vinyl in addition to all the major streaming engines. Check out my album via one of these channels - and if you like it I would be thrilled if you share it with your friends! I'm also happy to hear your personal feedback!

Happy New Year 2017!

Happy New Year, guys! I hope your year has been a great one so far, and if not, it's still early...😊

I've got great plans this year! For two years now, I have been working on a new album together with Ronni le Tekrø and Tony Carey. Ronni was on board for the beginning of the project, and after creating three songs together which all made the album, Tony and I continued collaborating both live, and also to create the rest of the album material. It has been a long process, indeed, and an exciting, educating and interesting journey!

The idea for the album was born when my husband, Lars Monsen, surprised me on my birthday by taking me to a Zappa Union concert in Oslo. I didn't even know I would like that sort of music, but upon leaving the concert venue, I was more inspired than I can recall. The music they played took me on a musical journey visiting almost any and all musical genres imaginable on the way. It was almost like getting a musical shower, and I remember wanting the concert to just continue into eternity. My first thought was, "how can I make music like that?" So I called up my most openminded, crazy and creative friend and colleague, Ronni, who was eager to start playing with the ideas I had. He insisted on taking Tony Carey on board, and the three of us began working in Ronni's studio shortly after. To make a long story short, my upcoming album is now ready to be released, and the official release date for The Well is Jan. 27, 2017.

The album will be available via streaming, downloads, CD and - oh yes! Vinyl!! This will be my first vinyl release since my debut with the album Finders Keepers as a solo artist. The vinyl album will be released in a limited edition, and I will provide you with a link to order it as soon as it becomes available.

My official release tour begins on March 9, and Tony Carey will be featured in the first few concerts - this is a rare opportunity, guys! Check event dates and ticket links here: THE WELL TOUR 2017

Until the official album release, you are welcome to check out my singles from the upcoming album here: HELLO IT'S ME

For those of you who like planning ahead, there will also be a Christmas tour towards the end of the year. I am going to bring my own Christmas tour JULEGAVEN (THE CHRISTMAS GIFT) back to life, and this time I will bring a very special guest along with me. You're gonna love it! Stay tuned for ticket info as this tour is still in the making!

Enjoy your new year - it's a clean slate, let's make the most of it!

Greetings for the Holiday season!

Merry Christmas, guys! I hope your Christmas has been a peaceful one, or if you celebrate Hanukkah, I hope your Holidays were wonderful! Two days before Christmas, we finished our annual Christmas tour, "Julenatt", or "Christmas Night", all of 47 concerts total. We visited churches all over the southern parts of Norway, and played for almost 15.000 people. Guess who was in the Christmas spirit by the time we were finished?

This year, I got to celebrate Christmas together with my family in Stavanger, always a great place to be when in the need of charging my batteries. I feel very, very blessed to have such a wonderful family to come home to, and I wish everyone could have the same kind of welcoming in their lives as I do. I try in every way I can to share my gift of music with those who come to my concerts, hoping that my music can help bring some warmth and happiness into people's lives.

In 2017, I have great plans to release a new album, and to tour in as many places as possible to play my new material. I am very excited to reveal to you the music I have been working on for the last two years now. More info to come. Until then - happy new year's celebrations, and let's make 2017 a year of peace, love and mutual understanding! After all, it's up to each and every one of us, isn't it? :-)

Enjoy my latest playlist at your leisure: HELLO IT'S ME

XOXOX Trine :-)

Ok, we still got another two and a half months to go, but time does fly! This year, like the last, Trine Rein will be joining the same awesome bunch in Julenatt (Christmas Night) for this year's extensive Christmas tour. To get you into the right Christmas spirit, Christian Ingebrigtsen, Gaute Ormaasen, Froydis Grorud, Trond Lien and Trine Rein will visit various churches around the South-, East- and Western parts of Norway in the weeks before Christmas. The opening show is Nov. 24, and tickets are now released!

New single out now!

As of September 2, Trine Rein's brand new single and video Don't Say It's Over is available for streaming and downloads on the following platforms: Tidal: http://bit.ly/2c8wJzL Spotify: http://bit.ly/2bNKMdk Deezer: http://deezer.com/album/13822276 iTunes: http://apple.co/2cj8GjA

The single is written and recorded by Trine Rein and Tony Carey, and the video is shot in one of Norway's most beautiful national parks, Svartisen and Saltfjellet national park. This single is the first single released from Trine Rein's own record label, Joy Music, and thus it is quite a mile stone for the artist.
Although some may think the song has a melancholy message, it is really a song to remind couples to focus on the positive side of things in order to stay together.
Don't Say It's Over is the second single from Trine Rein's upcoming album The Well - official release January 2017.

Welcome to my brand new website!

Allergy season and upcoming concerts

Trine Rein has her own tricks to avoid allergies during springtime... While so many people complain about allergies during the first months of spring, artists like Trine Rein have ways to overcome these symptoms and to make sure the show goes on. Trine's best advice is to start early taking acupuncture and getting the right homeopathic medicine for your allergies. Also, maintaining a strong immunity system is crucial, and it is an every day activity no matter what time of the year it is.

"I always start the day by taking a good serving of super greens in a glass of water, or in a veggie smoothie, followed by a small glass of Tahitian Noni Juice to go with my Omega 3 from either seal oil or algae. Also, my favorite multi vitamin Oxylent is always with me when I travel, and it has saved me a bunch of times from catching a cold or whatever is going around. I don't think it is possible to take too many vitamins and minerals from the levels set by the medical industry as our 'daily needs' - of course, they don't want that stuff to work, or else they'd be out of business. Anyway, that's my personal opinion from reading up on it for years..." Trine states.

A few of Trine's upcoming concerts have been added to the events calendar, and there are still a few more to come for 2016. Please check it out HERE!

Wishing you a sneeze free, non-watery nose or itchy eyes cool springtime!

January 11 already??

A belated Happy New Year to everyone!Happy 2016, guys! Trine Rein is just catching her breath from last year's endavours, and beginning to look into the opportunities of the new year. Some 60 Christmas concerts do take a toll on a humble artist, especially after fulfilling ten live TV shows in the same amount of weeks on national tv before the tour begins... Well. Thank you for the music!

For Trine, this year will be another eventful one. Got several live concerts coming up, both solo shows and in the successful collaboration with rock legend Tony Carey!

In the final Stjernekamp tv show (The Battle of the Stars), Trine Rein and Tony Carey were able to give a small sample of one of their upcoming singles, The Well. Grateful for the very positive reception of the teaser from their audience, the two artists are even more excited to start working with this powerful song in the months to come.

Here is a link to the live performance of The Well on NRK, a two and a half minute teaser of a much longer composition: THE WELL - to be continued...

There are lots of opportunities in a new year - may your days be Blessed and your Dreams come true!

No rest for the weary

The battle of the stars is over - a small wedding in between concerts, and...up next is the annual Christmas tour!Trine Rein made it to the final of this year's Stjernekampor The Battle of the Stars.

"A bit bummed out about that, I admit it, I'm really a terrible loser - but as my opponent was the solid and much talented Maria Haukaas Mittet, I guess I can live with being beat by her!" Trine says with a smile. "I'll get over it real soon as I'm on to a new marathon in only two weeks," she continues, "I'm getting ready for this year's Christmas tour called Julenatt."

Trine Rein is eternally grateful for all the votes from her followers who ensured her a place in the final. The exposure is priceless, and extremely valuable for a professional artist like Trine. "I want to meet every single one of those who voted for me, and give them a big hug to thank them for their support!" Trine exclaimed right after the final. This could take some time....

In the mean time, only one week after the final, Trine and her secret fiancé since July this year, Lars Monsen, had much bigger plans - all along, they had been planning for a surprise wedding on Trine's 45th birthday, Nov. 7th! Inviting the guests to what they thought would be the opening of Lars Monsen's Wilderness Centre and a surprise party for Trine's birthday, the guests were almost shocked to see Trine enter the venue in her wedding gown to tie the knot in front of some hundred dumbfounded friends and family. The wedding was a great success, and Trine Rein and Lars Monsen are now a married couple.

A few concerts later, Trine is now getting ready for a major Christmas tour starting on Nov. 27th. This year, Trine is not organizing her own Christmas tour like in the previous four years, but she will be a part of the Julenatt-production together with artist colleagues Christian Ingebrigtsen and Gaute OrmaasenOn keyboards is band leader Trond Lienand saxophone player Frøydis Grorudboth known from NRK's tv show Beat by Beat. Between the opening show and Dec. 22nd, they are doing all of 45 concerts together covering the West coast, South Coast and Eastern areas of Norway. The weeks before Christmas are limited, and as much as they would like to visit a greater part of Norway, time and economy does not allow further expansion of the tour.

The good news is that Trine is planning to make visits to the northern most areas of Norway in 2016. Stay tuned for more info on up coming tour dates.

Tickets for the Christmas tour are here: JULENATT

WELCOME TO A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS CONCERT!

Trine Rein is in the final!!!

Only one show left in The Battle of the Stars, and Trine is still in the game as one of two finalists...What a thriller! Only two contestants standing in The Battle of the Stars - Maria Haukås Mittet and Trine Rein! This Saturday is showdown, and the finalists are preparing for the final battle in NRKs Stjernekamp.

They are doing three songs each, one is a highlight from the season, one is the viewer's choice, and finally the contestants get to perform one song from their own repertoar.

Trine's songs will be Amazing Grace, Firework, and The Well - one of the first songs written, recorded and produced in the collaboration between Tony CareyRonni Le Tekro and Trine Rein. Maria will perform And I am Telling You, Halo, and "Gjennom Sorga Går en Sang", a Norwegian folk song originally written and performed by Norwegian artist, Halvdan Sivertsen.

The Well was originally written as a prayer and a statement about how the human race is ruining the world, with still pictures from Trine's better half, Lars Monsen's Canada and Alaska expeditions. The pictures describe the the contrast between the majesty of unharmed land, and the consequences of pollution and greed by the human race.

Upon discussing which song would be the best to present in the final of Stjernekamp, Tony Carey's wife, Marion, suddenly saw a whole different meaning in the lyrics. She felt the song describes in detail what is going on with the current dramatic situation of the refugees in Europe. Everyone already familiar with the lyrics of The Well were startled at the point she had made, and suddenly saw a completely different aspect in the song. Tony Carey will be joining Trine on stage in performing their new song, The Well on Saturday. The song will not yet be released, so until then the only place to catch it is either on NRK this Saturday, or in upcoming live concerts where Trine and Tony are featured together.

Check Events to see where we are performing together!

As for the final - may the ultimate entertainer of Norway 2015 win!

Close call in The Battle of the Stars!

...and Trine Rein is on to the semi final! Eight down, two to go in NRK Stjernekamp!Only three contestants left in The Battle of the Stars, Stjernekamp, and at this point, the artists can almost smell blood in the competition. What a marathon, what a journey, and what an achievement to compete week after week in this very challenging TV show. Trine was one of two contestants with the fewer votes last night, but luck was on her side as contestant and very talented artist, Heidi Gjermundsen Broch sadly had to leave the competition.

The upcoming week is scheduled for rehearsals in Norwegian folk songs and EDM - Electronic Dance Music. Trine's choice of songs will be a very famous song by Svein Dag Hauge, originally performed by artist Olav Stedje: Vi Vandrar Saman. It will be a great honor for Trine to perform this particular song as writer, producer and guitar virtuoso Svein Dag Hauge has been one of her very good friends and colleagues throughout her career.

As far as the EDM genre goes, Trine has picked Florence and the Machine's hit Spectrum (Say my name) as her second performance for this upcoming Saturday.

"I'm sooo excited about still being in the competition, and I'll do my absolute best to make it to the final! Thank you, thank you, thank you all so much for all your votes throughout these weeks. It's been an awesome ride no matter what happens, and I am very, very grateful!" Trine says. "See you Saturday!"

Trine Rein is still in the game!

Overwhelmed and grateful to all the viewers who vote for her, Trine is now one of four remaining contestants in The Battle of the Stars...The quarter final in this year's Battle of the Stars is coming up on Saturday, and Trine Rein is competing against three remaining artists for the title Norway's Ultimate Entertainer 2015. Their next challenge is to conquer the musical genre as well as doing a duet together with one of their contestants. Trine is doing Sisters are Doin' it for Themselves with contestant Heidi Gjermundsen Broch. The other duet will be performed by Maria Haukaas Mittet and Knut Erik Ostgaard, and they are doing Up Where we Belong.

As far as the musical genre goes, for Trine, this is unknown musical ground. She has chosen to sing You'll Never Walk Alone from the musical Carousel. It is a very challenging song to sing, and a song of motivation to share. Many connect the song to British soccer team, Liverpool and their supporters, but it originates from a 1945 musical by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein ll.

Only two more Saturdays remain in this year's Battle of the Stars before a winner is crowned, and the competition is fierce! Trine is very grateful to have gotten the opportunity to be a part of the show, and also overwhelmed by all the positive feedback she has received from her old and new fans during these last few weeks. It is a marathon, indeed, for the artists as well as for the viewers who vote for their favorite artist. With only two more Saturdays to go, the pressure is on, and the pot of nerves is boiling. Stay tuned for updates!

Story of Love opening show!

Ibsenhuset, Saturday April 25th at 7:30pm The opening show for the Story of Love concert is near, and it is a great honor to announce the names on the bill this time. Together with legendary Tony Carey and Ronni Le Tekrø, Trine Rein has created new material for her upcoming shows. This new material calls for experience, and in her opening show Trine has managed to get no other than Tony Carey to personally lead her band through this musical turning point in her career.

Special guest artist and songwriter, Geir Arne Hansen, will also join in the concert this evening, the writer who gave Trine's new concert the name: Story of Love.

This concert show will be one of many dimensions where the audience is given both familiar and new song material with a live twist to the arrangements. Trine Rein wants her audience to shamelessly indulge in the new waves of music, and to just sit back and relax while she performs her fresh sounds.

"A while back, I had an almost life changing experience which turned out to be my inspiration for this new, musical direction. I experienced music in a way I never had before, and found myself in a place where I just wanted to stay forever. It was epic. I want to share that same experience with my audience now, and I hope they will perceive it in the way we have wanted it to feel," Trine Rein says.
